The field Receipt Status is located on recurring donations, opportunities, and payments.

Recurring Donation

On a recurring donation, Receipt Status determines the status of the receipt.

Status	Definition
Ineligible – Do not receipt	Do Not Receipt on the recurring donation was set to True.
Ineligible – Donor address missing	If the donor is part of a household, the donor’s street, city, province or postal code is missing. If the donor is an organization, the account‘s street, city, province or postal code is missing.
Eligible	A receipt can be created for the recurring donation, and no previous receipts have been created.
Receipted	A receipt has already been created for the recurring donation. The receipt may be for the previous year or years. Additional receipts can still be created for subsequent years.

Opportunity

On an opportunity, the field Receipt Status determines the status of the receipt.

Status	Definition
Ineligible – Advantage	The advantage calculation deemed the receipt ineligible, most likely because the value of the advantage is too high.
Ineligible – Account is a foundation	Account Type on the accou\nt is “Foundation” which are not eligible for receipts.
Ineligible – Do not receipt	Do Not Receipt on the opportunity was set to True.
Ineligible – Donor address missing	If the donor is part of a household, the contact’s street, city, province or postal code is missing. If the donor is an organization, the account‘s street, city, province or postal code is missing.
Ineligible – Donation is a grant	Record Type on the opportunity type is “Grant”, and grants are not eligible for receipts.
Ineligible – Stage is not Closed Won	Stage on the opportunity is not “Closed Won”.
Ineligible – Payment missing	There isn’t a payment related to the opportunity that covers the entire opportunity amount.
Ineligible – Receipt amount is below minimum	The receipted amount is below the threshold set in the tab “Receipt Settings”.
Ineligible – Receipt amount is $0	The receipt amount is $0.
Ineligible – Only payments can have receipts	The option to receipt by payment is True, so receipts cannot be created by opportunties.
Eligible	A single receipt can be created for the opportunity.
Eligible for consolidated	If the opportunity is associated with a recurring donaiton, a consolidated receipt can be created for the related recurring donation. If the opportunity is not associated with a recurring donaiton, a consolidated receipt can be created for the opportunity.
Receipted	A receipt has already been created.
Voided	A receipt has already been created and voided.

Payment

On an payment, Receipt Status determines the status of the receipt.

Status	Definition

Ineligible – Do not receipt	Do Not Receipt on the payment or opportunity was set to True.

Ineligible – Payment is not paid	Paid on the payment is not True.
Ineligible – Receipt amount is below minimum	The receipted amount is below the threshold set in the tab “Receipt Settings”.
Ineligible – Receipt amount is $0	The receipt amount is $0.
Ineligible – Payments cannot have receipts	The option to receipt by payment is False, so receipts cannot be created by payments.
Eligible	A single receipt can be created for the payment.
Eligible for consolidated	If the payment is associated with a recurring donaiton, a consolidated receipt can be created for the related recurring donation. If the payment is not associated with a recurring donaiton, a consolidated receipt can be created for the payment.
Receipted	A receipt has already been created.
Voided	A receipt has already been created and voided.
